"Professional web designer and developer"
that is what you will be once you have taken this track!

These courses set out to produce professional web designers and developers, able to build large web applications,
using the best known programming language of them all, PHP, with MySQL databases and the Laravel framework

What does a complete training track mean?

A training track means a complete, consecutive set of courses, ordered and arranged so that it begins with you at the very first step of knowledge and carries you through to a professional level.

A complete training track means you need no prior knowledge at all in order to start learning, and that afterwards you will need no further courses in order to enter the job market!

Why a complete training track?

With so many techniques and technologies in use, so many syllabuses and levels, and so many terms and names in information technology, the biggest obstacle facing anyone who wants to enter the field is seeing the route clearly: where do I start, and where do I go next? That is the question most trainees ask. And because we have the experience to answer it, we built these tracks to put you on the right road, from the right starting point, in the right order.

What do we have here?

From here you can take the first step, and then set off through seven main specialist courses, each of them covering a good many topics of its own, along with a number of further subjects alongside the training track

Web design and development with PHP and MySQL

* 15% of the content (roughly 18 hours) is delivered as recorded electronic material

The subjects covered on this track

Intro to CS
Topic-101Intro In Computer Science

Have you ever wondered how a computer works? What the digital system actually is? How data can be stored as zeros and ones? This absorbing subject is your way into the world of programming, and because we are so keen to start with you at the very beginning, your track with us opens by learning how the computer works and how data is stored. You will also meet the best known terms in the web field, learn how the internet works, and learn what you will need in order to have a website that performs well online.

Topic-102XML

XML is one of the most widely used web languages: a standard supported by every modern programming language, used chiefly to store and exchange data.

On this track you will learn in detail how to parse and store data with XML, as well as the particulars of writing XML, and you will come back to it again in the PHP programming course to meet the core functions that let you work with XML structures and files, storing and retrieving data dynamically and talking to other sites through advanced techniques such as Web Services, RSS and the other technologies built on XML.

XML course
HTML5 & CSS3 course
PL-912HTML4/5 & CSS 1/2/3

Building and coding attractive, interactive web page designs with the latest advanced techniques in HTML5 and the most striking CSS3 effects

By the end of this course you will be able to implement any web design, however complex, using the best and most advanced solutions available - and not only that, but in a way that is fully standards-compliant and friendly to search engines.

After taking this course you will carry the title "professional web designer", and you will learn everything you need in order to build a complete site and publish it on the internet.

Mostafa Hefny
Head of the academy, and PHP application developer

He preferred to pursue his ambitions in that field independently, and founded 7dash Training Academy in early 2010. He has taught web programming languages at 7dash ever since, and later founded a second company specialising in website design and development, which he named "Dominato" - bringing together job-market experience and training skill.

Waleed Mohamed
Waleed Mohamed
Executive director, and database developer

Waleed started studying computer science and programming at around the age of 11, on the old Q-Basic, and has worked with a great many technologies across programming, databases and computer systems generally ever since. He is now executive director of the software company Code-Times, Ltd., specialising in systems analysis, MS SQL Server database development and building large applications with MS .NET technology for both the web and Windows. He currently runs the training departments at 7dash, as well as writing and delivering a number of specialist computer-science training programmes to a philosophy of his own: training content as close as it can be to real working practice at real software companies in the job market, rather than an academic syllabus with no regard for how the material is actually applied.

The questions asked most often about this training programme

  • I have no background at all in programming or web design. Can I still take this course?
  • Yes. You need no prior knowledge of computer science, programming or web design to take this track: it is designed to start from the basics and then move step by step towards a professional level, so that the material reaches every student in a clear and orderly way. All you need is general familiarity with using a computer and handling files!
  • Is there an age requirement, or a particular academic qualification, for taking this track?
  • No. Just make sure you have the will to learn and to know, and leave the rest to us. We believe anyone can learn to program provided they want to, and provided they get the right material in the right way - and that last part is something we do rather well.
  • What can I do once I have finished this track?
  • Quite simply, "anything!". This track is designed to cover every subject you might need in order to do anything in the job market - and not only that, but to pass practical experience on to you and train you enough to be sure you can do anything the market asks. Once you have finished the track you can build any web page design, add any animation to a page, and build any software system: news sites, online booking systems, online shops and whatever else the job market may ask of you.
  • Are the subjects listed here covered in detail, or only in overview?
  • Every one of these subjects is covered in detail, with several complete hands-on projects for each, along with further end-to-end projects that train you to use everything you have learned side by side to build very large websites.
  • How long does this training track take?
  • The basic pattern is three lectures a week, each three hours long, which gives students enough time to take the material in and put it into practice. Since the total for this track is 105 hours, it takes around three months in all.
  • What about the certificates I will receive?
  • You will receive 4 attendance certificates from Seven Dash, one for each of the main subjects - see an example of the certificate here. They carry a hologram against forgery as well as verification codes, so that any organisation can check the certificate's details on our website. On top of that you will receive two experience certificates from two registered software companies, Domainato and Code-Times, Ltd., stating that you worked for the company in website design and development for 6 months. You receive these because you will in fact carry out real practical projects while taking the course, as well as the field training after it ends. And if you would like a certificate attested by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, you can ask for one from Cairo University at an additional cost (borne by the student, as an administrative fee for the university); Seven Dash will handle every step of requesting and obtaining the certificate for you, with no extra charge.
  • Can I obtain any accredited international certificates related to this course?
  • You can obtain accredited international certificates from independent bodies such as w3schools, Brainbench, NCSA and others. Should you want one, Seven Dash will help you register, sit the exams in our labs and follow up the issuing of the certificates - noting that the cost of registration and of issuing the certificates is borne by the student. Seven Dash takes no fee or charge of its own for it.
  • Where do the classes take place, and what do I need to bring with me?
  • Classes take place in our own labs, and there is nothing you need to bring: we provide everything - up-to-date computers, a suitable and very comfortable place to study, the training pack, paper, pens and whatever else you may need while studying, along with a free drinks cafeteria and the other basics.
  • Do you have other branches where I could take this course?
  • We have no other branches at present. This course is held at 98 Mostafa El-Nahas Street, Nasr City.
  • We are a commercial organisation and would like to train our staff on this syllabus. Do you provide that service?
  • Yes. We can provide full training on this syllabus for commercial and non-commercial organisations. Staff can also be trained at your own premises, with no need to send them to ours, and we will review and arrange the requirements and the training dates to suit your working conditions. Just get in touch to arrange it.
