Discussing the project and planning the work As the first stage of any software project, we discuss what the application should do and what it should offer, and gather the data.

Designing the interfaces The application’s interfaces and its admin panel are designed responsively, using Bootstrap and the other techniques covered.

Designing the application database The database is designed around the agreed features and requirements of the application, then built.

Wiring the database to the interfaces The stage of writing the code — PHP as the primary language — that connects to the database and carries out the operations.

Securing and optimising the application Reviewing the application’s security, applying protection against intrusion, and confirming it holds up.

Preparing the server and deploying The server (the hosting) is prepared and configured, the application is uploaded, run and checked.

Important notes
Admission requirements Applicants must have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of the subject and of how the work is done, and must already have had adequate theoretical training in the topics covered. Every applicant sits a qualifying test before registering for the workshop, to confirm they meet the minimum required to take part. * The qualifying test is held at the academy at a time arranged with the applicant after booking. There is no charge for the test, and if the applicant is not accepted the deposit is returned in full.

Mostafa began studying computer science and programming at university, and has since worked across many technologies in programming and databases. He now heads Seven Dash and develops PHP applications, and teaches the advanced practical programmes the academy is built around.
